Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Browns rookie DE Carl Nassib suffered a broken hand during yesterday’s game that will require surgery.

According to Rapoport, the Browns are still assessing how long Nassib will be out following the procedure.

Nassib, 23, was taken with the No. 65 overall pick by the Browns. Nassib signed a four-year contract worth $3,229,756, which included a signing bonus of $889,756.

This season, Nassib has recorded three tackles, one sack and a pass defense for the Browns over the course of two games. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 57 edge rusher out of 102 qualifying players.
