Browns See Josh Gordon As Their No. 1 WR?

Steve Doerschuk of the Canton Repository believes Browns WR Josh Gordon will emerge as the team’s primary receiver as the season goes on.

“He’ll want to strive for consistency,” Browns OC Brad Childress said. “He’s gotten better in all the little things. That could equate to some big things.”

Gordon, who had the best game of this career last week against the Bengals, took awhile to adjust to the NFL. Early on, he wasn’t making a consistent effort during training camp, ran sloppy routes, and couldn’t beat bump-and-run coverage. Since then, Gordon has lived up expectations and offers great size, speed, hands, instincts, and athleticism, which is something they’ve been without since Braylon Edwards was traded in 2009.
