Browns Sign 8 Players To Futures Deals Including WR Kasen Williams & DB B.W. Webb

The Cleveland Browns announced Monday that they’ve signed eight players to the futures deals for the 2018 season.

The full list includes:

  1. WR C.J. Board
  2. LB Austin Calitro
  3. DB Trevon Hartfield
  4. WR Bug Howard
  5. RB Josh Rounds
  6. OL Victor Salako
  7. DB B.W. Webb
  8. WR Kasen Williams

Webb, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He lasted just over a year in Dallas before he was waived and later claimed by the Steelers.

Since then, Webb has played for a few teams including the Titans, Saints and Bears before the Browns signed him to a contract a few weeks ago before recently cutting him loose.

In 2016, Webb appeared in 14 games and recorded 28 tackles, no sacks, one interception and 11 pass defenses for the Saints. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 76 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players last year.

Williams, 25, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Washington back in May of 2015. He was on and off Seattle’s practice squad before being waived as the team trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit coming out of the preseason.

Williams was claimed off of waivers by the Browns before they elected to cut him loose last month to make room for Corey Coleman and they later re-signed him to their practice squad.

In 2017, Williams has appeared in seven games for the Browns and caught nine passes for 84 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
