Browns Sign DL Chigbo Anunoby, Waive DL Kyle Rose

The Browns announced Monday that they’ve signed DL Chigbo Anunoby to a contract and placed DL Kyle Rose on waivers.

Anunoby, 27, originally signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Morehouse back in 2012. He spent just a few months in Indianapolis before he was waived coming out of the preseason.

The Redskins later signed him to their practice squad and brought him back on a future/reserve contract. However, he was once again cut loose at the start of the 2013 season. Anunoby spent a year with the Titans before the Vikings signed him to a future’s deal in January of last year, but waived him at the start of the regular season.

Anunoby has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Rose, 23, wound up going undrafted out of West Virginia back in May, but later signed on with the Browns as a rookie free agent.

During his four-year college career at West Virginia, Rose recorded 153 tackles, five sacks, a fumble recovery, and three pass defenses.
