Browns Sign DL Nick Hayden

According to Scott Petrak, the Browns have signed veteran DL Nick Hayden.

This provides much needed depth for the Browns after DL Desmond Bryant underwent surgery for a torn pectoral that will likely keep him out for the entire year.

Hayden, 30, is a former sixth-round pick for the Panthers back in 2008. He spent three years in Carolina before joining the Bengals for a few months and later signing on with the Cowboys back in February of 2013.

Dallas elected to bring Hayden back on a one-year contract last year. He only had one confirmed workout for the Seahawks since becoming an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2015, he appeared in 16 games for the Cowboys last year and recorded 47 tackles, no sacks, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has Hayden rated as the No. 115 interior defensive lineman out of 123 qualifying players.
