Browns Sign Eight Players, Cut Four Including K Garret Hartley

The Cleveland Browns announced a number of roster moves on Monday.

The Browns waived four players including: WR Phil Bates, K Garret Hartley, DB Varmah Sonie and DL Christian Tupou.

They also signed seven undrafted free agents and one first-year player including: TE Emmanuel Bibbs, WR Paul Browning, DB Landon Feichter, TE Kevin Haplea, WR Darius Jennings, RB Luke Lundy, LB Rodman Noel, and DB Brandon Stephens.

Hartley, 28, had spent five seasons with the Saints before he was released in December of last year. The Browns signed him to a contract at the end of the 2014 season and he was set to make a salary of $870,000 in 2015.

Last year, Hartley appeared in two games and converted all three of his field goal attempts and his two extra point tries.
