Browns Sign First-Round Pick QB Johnny Manziel

The Browns announced the signing of first-round pick QB Johnny Manziel on Tuesday.

Cleveland still has fellow first-round pick CB Justin Gilbert and second-round OT Joel Bitonio to address, but those deals could be done shortly.

Manziel’s four-year contract is worth an estimated $8,248,596 which includes a signing bonus of $4,318,980, according to OverTheCap.com.

As things stand right now, Brian Hoyer will enter training camp as the team’s’ starting quarterback and reportedly has an “insurmountable” lead on Manziel. However, there is at least a chance that he could win the job during training camp.

During his two years at Texas A&M, Manziel threw for 7,820 yards while completing 68.9 percent of his passes to go along with 63 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. He also contributed 2,169 yards rushing and 30 rushing touchdowns.
