The Cleveland Browns announced Tuesday that they’ve signed LB James Burgess and TE J.P. Holtz to their practice squad.
- The Seahawks signed RB Terrence Magee off of their practice squad.
The Browns’ practice squad now consists of:
- CB Trey Caldwell
- WR Josh Boyce
- WR Jordan Leslie
- DB Darius Hillary
- TE Connor Hamlett
- OT Zach Sterup
- DL Trevon Coley
- S Justin Currie
- LB James Burgess
- TE J.P. Holtz
Burgess, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in May. He was, unfortunately, among their final roster cuts but was later signed to Miami’s practice squad.
After brief stints with the Chargers and Ravens, Burgess signed on to the Jaguars’ practice squad a few weeks ago. However, he was released last week.
Burgess has yet to appear in an NFL game.
