Browns Sign MLB D’Qwell Jackson To A Multi-Year Contract

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the deal is a five-year contract worth $42.5 million deal and includes $19 millin in guarantees.

Nate Ulrich reports that the Cleveland Browns have re-signed MLB D’Qwell Jackson to a multi-year contract extension.

Previous reports did mention that the two sides were close to having a deal in place as of last night. The Browns thought initially that they may have to use their franchise tag on him but Jackson must have lowered his asking price some since their first meetings.

He missed two straight seasons because of injuries but rebounded quite well last year just in time to secure a long-term contract.
