Browns Sign Six Draft Including First-Round WR Corey Coleman

The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve signed six draft picks including first-round WR Corey Coleman.

  • The Browns also signed WR Jordan Payton, (5th) OL Spencer Drango, (5th) WR Rashard Higgins, (5th) DB Trey Caldwell, (5th) and LB Scooby Wright (7th).

Coleman, 21, was taken with the No. 15 overall pick by the Browns after they traded back twice in round one. The Browns have been in major need of help at receiver for a few years now and that was clearly a focus for them in this year’s draft.

According to OverTheCap.com, Coleman receives a four-year contract worth $11,654,980 to go along with a signing bonus of $6,676,348. The contract will include a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2019.

During his three years at Baylor, Coleman caught 173 passes for 3,009 yards receiving (17.4 YPR) to go along with 164 yards rushing and 34 total touchdowns. Coleman added 651 kick return yards and a touchdown on special teams.
