Veteran DL Stephen Paea announced via his Twitter account Friday that he’s signed with the Browns after being released earlier in the week.

Paea, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Bears back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract with the Bears before signing on with the Redskins as an unrestricted free agent last year.
Paea was in the second year of his  four-year, $21 million contract that included $15 million guaranteed and set to make a bases salary of $3.3 million for the 2016 season when the Redskins cut him loose earlier in the week.
In 2015, Paea appeared in 11 games for the Redskins and recorded 19 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
