Browns Signing K Greg Joseph

According to Ian Rapoport, the Browns are signing K Greg Joseph to a contract on Monday after he tried out for the team.

Browns K Zane Gonzalez is reportedly dealing with a groin injury and could be waived with an injury designation to make room for Joseph.

It was clear that the Browns were going to make a change at kicker this week after Gonalez missed multiple field goals and extra points in their loss to the Saints on Sunday.

Blair Walsh and Cairo Santos were also among the free agent who tried out for the Browns on Monday.

Joseph, 24, wound up signing on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Dolphins but was waived coming out of the preseason.

During his college career at FAU, Joseph converted 57 of 82 field goals (69.5 percent) to go along with 165 of 170 extra point tries (97.1 percent) over the course of four seasons and 49 games.
