Browns Starting Johnny Manziel In Week 2

The Cleveland Browns announced Friday that second-year QB Johnny Manziel will get the start in Week 2’s game against the Titans.

Veteran QB Josh McCown is working his way back from a concussion, and is expected to participated in the team’s Friday practice. However, it looks like the Browns would prefer to give him more time to recover and see what Manziel can do with the opportunity.

Mike Garafolo mentions that McCown’s concussions symptoms were minor on Sunday, but they elected to pull him from the game anyway. McCown displayed minor symptoms all week, which implies that their situation at quarterback may have changed.

Manziel completed 13-of-24 passes for 182 yards, one touchdown, and an interception during their Week 1 loss to the Jets.
