Browns Tried Out 3 Players Including WRs Jordan Leslie & Wendall Williams

Aaron Wilson reports that the Browns tried out three players including WR Jordan Leslie, TE Steven Scheu and WR Wendall Williams.

Leslie, 24, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in May of last year. He was among the Vikings’ roster cuts coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Jaguars’ practice squad during the season.

The Falcons elected to sign Leslie to a future/reserve contract this past January but he was once again among the final roster cuts. Leslie later signed on to the Titans’ practice squad only to be waived a few weeks later.

Leslie has yet to a appear in an NFL game.

Williams, 26, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Cumberlands back in May. He was cut loose as the Texans trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

Williams later caught on with the Jets’ practice squad but was released last week to make room for  LB Julian Stanford.

During the preseason, Williams caught two passes for 16 yards receiving and lost a fumble.
