Browns Tried Out Seven Players

According to Howard Balzer, the Cleveland Browns brought in seven free agents for workouts on Tuesday.

The full list includes:

  1. LB Ufomba Kamalu
  2. LB Darnell Sankey
  3. TE Nick Keizer
  4. TE Vince Mayle
  5. TE Kevin Rader
  6. DT Anthony Moten
  7. RB Mark Thompson

Sankey, 24, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State back in 2016. Unfortunately, Denver chose to waive him as they trimmed down to 75 players.

Since then, he’s played for several teams including the Raiders, Chiefs, Vikings, Colts, and Ravens before signing on with the Lions before the start of training camp. Detroit waived him coming out of the preseason and he had a brief stint on their practice squad.

During his four-year college career, Sankey recorded 330 tackles, 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two recoveries an interception and nine pass defenses. Sankey earned FCS All-America honors during his senior season at Sacramento State.
