Browns Waive DT Armonty Bryant

The Cleveland Browns announced Monday that they’ve waived DT Armonty Bryant, who has just served his four-game suspension for a PED violation.

Bryant was previously indicted on two counts of felony drug possession stemming from a Christmas-day arrest in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Bryant is subject to waivers, so we’ll have to see if anyone is willing to put in a waiver claim for him.

Bryant, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Browns back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.221 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Bryant has appeared in 14 games and recorded 40 tackles, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery for the Browns.
