Browns Waive TE Chase Ford

Field Yates reports that the Browns have waived TE Chase Ford a week after they claimed him off of waivers from the Ravens.

The Ravens used a low-round restricted tender on Ford a few months ago that will pay him $1,671,000 for the 2016 season.

Ford, 25, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2012. He lasted less than a year in Philadelphia before signing a future/reserve contract with the Vikings in January of 2013.

He was on and off of the Vikings’ active roster for the next two years before later being signed to the Ravens’ active roster.

Ford did not appear in a game during the 2015 season.
