Browns Will Start Thaddeus Lewis At QB In Week 17

The Cleveland Browns have announced that QB Thaddeus Lewis will get the start against the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend.

Cleveland was obviously hoping that Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy would be able to play in the season finale, but they wound up missing practice again on Friday and it became pretty clear that they wouldn’t be available this weekend.

The Browns recently signed Josh Johnson who will serve as the team’s backup quarterback on Sunday. Trent Richardson is also expected to miss Week 17’s game, so this is shaping up to be a very good matchup for the Steelers. It’s just too bad they’re already out of contention for the postseason.
