According to Howard Balzer, the Browns brought in five free agents for workouts in recent days including S Harold Jones-Quartey, S Malik Smith, OT Korren Kirven, OT Victor Salako, and OT Andrew Wylie.
Jones-Quartey, 24, originally signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of back in May of 2015. He lasted just a few months in Arizona before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Bears.
Chicago elected to cut Jones-Quartey loose coming out of the preseason.
In 2016, Jones-Quartey appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 78 tackles, one interception and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 66 safety out 90 qualifying players last year.
