Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports that former Giants S Justin Currie tried out for the Browns on Friday.
Currie, 21, signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan in May of last year. However, the Giants waived him with an injury designation and spent the entire year on the injury reserve list.
The Giants once again cut Currie loose coming out of the preseason a few months ago.
During his college career at Western Michigan, Currie recorded 340 tackles, nine sacks, five interceptions, three forced fumbles and 15 pass defenses.
Currie totaled six tackles for the Giants during the preseason.
