Browns Working Out Rookie WR Mitch Mathews

The Cleveland Browns are working out rookie WR Mitch Mathews on Friday, according to his agent Brett Tessler.

Mathews was previously set to visit with the Browns last week, but they elected to reschedule the session.

Mathews, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in May. He was set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season, but he was unfortunately waived in the final week of the preseason.

During his college career, he caught 152 passes for 2,083 yards (13.7 YPR) and 24 touchdowns over the course of 41 games.
