Browns WR Josh Gordon Suspended 2 Games

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon will be suspended for two games and penalized four games pay for an “NFL substance abuse violation,” ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi reports.

The second-year player show some positive flashes during his rookie campaign.

Gordon, 22, caught 805 yards and five touchdowns in the 2012 season.

The Browns without Gordon have severe concerns at receiver. The team let go of Josh Cribbs and Mohamed Massaquoi this offseason, leaving Greg Little to fend for himself. Davone Bess was also acquired from the Miami Dolphins this offseason, so his snaps will likely spike in the early parts of the season.
