Bruce Allen Interested In Returning To Raiders?

A report from over the weekend mentioned that the Raiders were expected to make changes to their front office in the near future.

A source tells Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk that no changes have been made by the Raiders as of now, but it’s possible that could change soon enough.

According to Florio, there’s a belief in league circles that current Redskins president Bruce Allen is hoping to return to the Raiders and reunite with HC Jon Gruden.

Both Allen and Gruden spent time together in Tampa Bay several years ago.

Florio says that if the Raiders were to add Allen, he would serve in an executive-type role, with no direct input over personnel but a significant role in managing the business, including the team’s new stadium in Las Vegas.

Allen worked for the Raiders from 1995 to 2002 before joining the Buccaneers for the 2003 season. The Redskins hired Allen as their GM back in 2009 and he’s been with the team ever since.

We’ll have more regarding Allen possibly returning to the Raiders as the news is available.
