Bruce Irvin Officially Clears Waivers, Now Free Agent

On Tuesday, former Raiders DE Bruce Irvin officially passed through waivers unclaimed and is now a free agent, according to Adam Schefter.

It will be interesting to see how quickly a market develops for him, as a number of teams could use an edge rusher at this point in the season.

The Patriots, Falcons and Seahawks have all been mentioned as speculative landing spots worth watching for Irvin.

Irvin, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He spent four years in Seattle before signing a four-year, $37 million contract that included $19 million guaranteed with the Raiders in 2016.

Irvin was set to make base salaries of $8 million and $9 million over the remaining two years of the agreement when the Raiders waived him on Monday.

In 2018, Irvin has appeared in six games for the Raiders and recorded six tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
