Bryan Bulaga Seeking $7-$8M Per Year, Jaguars, Bucs, & Redskins Interested

According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, things aren’t looking as promising in regards to the Packers re-signing RT Bryan Bulaga.

Silverstein, citing two league sources familiar with the offensive tackle market, reports that Bulaga is seeking a deal worth between $7 million and $8 million and has a good chance of receiving it on the open market.

Silverstein mentions that the Jaguars, Buccaneers, and Redskins are the teams most commonly connected to Bulaga.

A source tells Silverstein that the Packers are “deadset against paying $7 million per year for Bulaga and were prepared to let him walk if that occurred.”

Even though he played right tackle for the Packers, Bulaga widely considered to be the best available tackle in this year’s free agent crop and  is well positioned to be one of the most sought after players in the coming days.

Bulaga, 25, has played out his five-year, $13.245 million rookie contract that included $7 million guaranteed. Pro Football Focus has Bulaga rated as the No. 16 offensive tackle out of 84 qualifying players this year.

We have Bulaga listed as the No. 11 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
