Buccaneers Activate DT Akeem Spence From PUP List, Waive C Jeremiah Warren

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially activated DT Akeem Spence from the physically unable to perform list and placed C Jeremiah Warren on waivers Saturday, according to the NFL Transactions release.

Spence, 23, was taken in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft and has two years remaining on his four-year, $2,644,424 rookie contract. He stands to make a base salary of $585,000 in 2015 and another $675,000 next year.

The Buccaneers placed him on the on the reserve/PUP list coming out of the preseason.

In 2014, Spence appeared in all 16 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 39 tackles, two sacks, and two fumble recoveries. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 79 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
