Buccaneers, Broncos & Jets All In The Mix For WR Kyle Williams

Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Buccaneers are in the mix to sign WR/KR Kyle Williams along with the Broncos and Jets.

  • Auman mentions that Buccaneers HC Dirk Koetter is familiar with Williams from their time together at Arizona State.

This is the first reported interest in Williams since the free agent market opened close to four weeks ago.

Williams, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2010. He spent three years in San Franscisco before catching oon with the Chiefs in 2013.

The Broncos later signed him to a future/reserve contract, but he unfortunately suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in August of last year.

In 2013, Williams appeared in 10 games and recorded 12 receptions for 113 yards receiving and no touchdowns to go along with two carries for 23 yards rushing. Williams also contributed 134 kick return yards and another 61 punt return yards that season.
