Buccaneers CB Jude Adjei-Barimah Undergoing Knee Surgery

According to Jenna Laine of ESPN, Buccaneers CB Jude Adjei-Barimah is scheduled to undergo knee surgery to repair a patellar fracture.

Adjei-Barimah is expected to miss four months with his injury and is likely to be placed on the injured reserve.

Adjei-Barimah, 25, wound up signing on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Bowling Green back in 2015. He was waived coming out of the preseason but later signed to the team’s practice squad.

After a month on the practice squad, the Buccaneers called Adjei-Barimah to their active roster. However, he was suspended four games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.

The Buccaneers placed him on injured reserve in December of last year after he suffered the patellar injury.

In 2016, Adjei-Barimah appeared in all 10 games and recorded 22 tackles, two sacks, no interceptions, a forced fumble and two pass defenses of the Buccaneers.
