Buccaneers RB Charles Sims Opens Practice Window, Could Return Off I.R. After Three Weeks

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that RB Charles Sims has been designated as their player to return off injured reserve.

This opens a three week practice period for Sims and he will be eligible to be activated beginning Dec. 5.

The Buccaneers placed Sims on injured reserve back in October with a knee injury.

Sims, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.104 million contract and set to make a base salary of $650,000 this season.

In 2016, Sims has appeared in four games for the Buccaneers and ran for 116 yards on 41 carries (2.8 YPC) to go along with 14 receptions for 112 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
