ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentions that there will likely be even more kickers released next week after a disastrous showing from NFL kickers today.

Schefter adds that the Buccaneers are the most likely team to sign a new kicker next week after Kyle Brindza has already missed five field goals and two extra point attempts in two weeks.

For what it’s worth, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that three NFL teams have already reached out to former Steelers K Josh Scobee as of Sunday night.

However, Scobee will need a few weeks to heal from a quad strain that he’s currently dealing with, according to La Canfora.

Tampa Bay actually traded for Brindza in a deal that sent TE Tim Wright to the Lions.

Brindza, 22, wound up signing on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame days after this year’s NFL draft. He’s in the first year of his three-year, $1.575 million rookie contract and will make a base salary of $435,000 for the 2015 season.

We’ll have more regarding the Buccaneers’ kicking situation as the news is available.
