The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially placed DT Channing Ward on the non-football injury list after clearing waivers.
Ward, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss back in 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason during his rookie season but was waived a few months later.
Ward was on and off of the Buccaneers’ practice squad before they waived him with a non-football injury designation on Wednesday.
In 2017, Ward appeared in one game for Tampa Bay but did not record a statistic.
