Buccaneers Re-Sign DB Kimario McFadden & LB Jeremiah George

The Tampa Buccaneers officially re-signed DB Kimario McFadden and LB Jeremiah George to contracts on Wednesday.

McFadden, 25, signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina State back in May of last year. He’s had multiple stints with the Buccaneers and Falcons, and was briefly with the Panthers before being waived shortly after last year’s draft.

McFadden was on an off of the Buccaneers’ practice squad last year. However, the Bucs waived him a few days to get down to the 75-man roster limit.

In 2015, McFadden has appeared in three games this season and recorded two tackles.

George, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. He was unable to make the Jets’ 53-man roster during his rookie season, but was later added to their practice squad.

The Jaguars signed him to their active roster a few weeks into the season before later waiving him at the start of the 2015 season.

The Buccaneers wound up claiming him off of waivers and he would go on to finish out the year in Tampa Bay. He returned to the team on an exclusive rights deal before he was waived on Tuesday.

In 2015, George appeared in 15 games for the Buccaneers and recorded seven tackles.
