Buccaneers Re-Sign RFA S Bradley McDougald

The Buccaneers announced Tuesday that they’ve re-signed restricted free agent S Bradley McDougald to a one-year contract.

  • The Bucs also re-signed excursive rights free agent LS Andrew DePaola.

The Buccaneers used a second-round tender on McDougald that will run them $2.5 million for the 2016 season.

McDougald, 25, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas back in 2013. He was on and off of their practice squad during his rookie season before he waived in November and later claimed off of waivers by the Buccaneers.

In 2015, McDougald appeared in all 16 games and recorded 86 tackles, two interceptions and four pass defenses for the Buccaneers. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 65 safety out of 89 qualifying players.
