The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Thursday that they’ve re-signed S Isaiah Johnson to their practice squad and released DE Marquavius Lewis from the unit.

The Buccaneers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. LB Riley Bullough
  2. OL Mike Liedtke
  3. T Marquis Lucas (Injured)
  4. WR Freddie Martino
  5. LB Eric Nzeocha (International)
  6. WR Bobo Wilson
  7. OT Justin Murray
  8. DT Channing Ward
  9. DB David Rivers
  10. FB Alan Cross
  11. DE Pat O’Connor
  12. S Isaiah Johnson

Johnson, 24, wound up signing on with the Buccaneers back in May of 2016 after going undrafted out of South Carolina. He spent his rookie season on the Buccaneers’ practice squad before returning to Tampa Bay on a future/reserve contract this past January.

Johnson was cut loose coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Bucs’ practice squad. Tampa Bay called him up to the active roster but waived him earlier this week.

In 2017, Johnson has appeared in three games for the Buccaneers and recorded three tackles and no interceptions or pass defenses.

During his college career, Johnson recorded 221 tackles, a half sack, seven interceptions, a forced fumble and four pass defenses over the course of 36 games.
