Buccaneers Release CB Senquez Golson From PS

According to Greg Auman, the Buccaneers have released CB Senquez Golson and OT Justin Murray from their practice squad.

Golson, 23, was taken in the second round by the Steelers in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was in the second year of his four-year, $4.001 million rookie contract when the Steelers cut him loose in October of last year.

He underwent surgery back in August and was expected to miss four months with a Lisfranc injury. He also missed all of 2015 with a shoulder injury.

He signed on to the Buccaneers’ practice squad last week, making his stint in Tampa Bay short-lived.

During his four-year college career at Ole Miss, Golson recorded 130 total tackles, six tackles for loss, 0.5 sack, 16 interceptions, 11 pass defenses, and scored one defensive touchdown.
