Buccaneers rookie OL Dominique Robertson was hospitalized with gunshot wounds in California on Thursday morning, according to the Riverside Press Enterprise.

Robertson was released from the hospital at 6 pm on Friday, and has since been detained by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office for questioning relating to the shooting.

There’s no word regarding the extent of Robertson’s injuries, but his attorney said that he was the “victim of a shooting.” Robertson was shot twice in the leg Thursday and is “doing OK,” per Greg Auman.

Robertson’s attorney added that his client was a “bystander” in shooting.

Robertson is the nephew of Bucs offensive line coach George Warhop.

Robertson wound up signing on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of West Georgia back in May. He was a first-team Division II All-American during his senior season at West Georgia.
