Buccaneers Sign CB Anthony Gaitor & DT Jibreel Black, Waive Two Players

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced the signing of CB Anthony Gaitor and DT Jibreel Black on Monday, per Scott Smith.

  • The Buccaneers waived running back Brendan Bigelow and wide receiver Quintin Payton to make room for the two additions.

Gaitor was actually a seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2011. Tampa Bay placed him on waivers this May after he suffered an injury. Gaitor later signed on with the Dolphins, but only lasted a little over a month with the team before he was cut loose.

In 2012, he was limited to appearing in just four games because of hamstring injuries totaling just seven tackles over this period time. Last year, he suffered a torn ACL during training camp, which forced the team to place him on season-ending injured reserve.

Black is an undrafted rookie out of Michigan. During his four years at Ann Arbor, Black recorded 72 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, and three forced fumbles.

Bigelow signed with the Bucs as an undrafted free agent out of California. He finished his three-year career with 877 yards rushing on 155 carries and five touchdowns.

Payton is another undrafted free agent signing out of North Carolina State. He totaled 86 receptions for 1,443 yards receiving and five touchdowns over the course of four years at NC State.
