Buccaneers Sign CB D.J. Moore & TE Steve Maneri

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the signings of CB D.J. Moore and TE Steve Maneri on Friday.

Moore, 26, played four season under Bucs new HC Lovie Smith while in Chicago. The Bears used the No. 119 overall pick on Moore back in 2009. He signed a one-year, $715,000 contract with Panthers last year, but was released him in October of 2013.

Maneri, 25, was with the Bears last season after he signed a deal with him back in March of 2013. He was later cut loose following the injury to Jay Cutler that allowed them to add some extra help at the quarterback position.

Moore could end up being a bargain deal for the Buccaneers, but he’s dealt with some knee issues, so we’ll have to see how he holds up during training camp.
