Buccaneers Sign CB Quinton Pointer & Waive CB Marc Anthony

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the signing of CB Quinton Pointer on Thursday. The team subsequently waived first-year CB Marc Anthony to make room for Pointer.

Pointer, 26, has spent the past two years with the Rams and appeared in a total of eight games and totaled just six tackles during this time.

It seems likely that it will take a pretty impressive showing in offseason workouts for him to secure a roster with the Bucs.

Anthony, 24, signed with the Buccaneers after the Ravens cut him loose and was later added to the team’s practice squad at the start of the season.
