Buccaneers Sign DT A.J. Francis, Waive DL Davon Coleman

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Tuesday that they have signed DT A.J. Francis to a contract.

  • The Buccaneers also waived DL Davon Coleman.

Francis, 26, signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland back in 2013. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie and was waived at the start of the season.

After brief stints with the Patriots and Dolphins, he was eventually claimed him off of waivers by the Seahawks back in November of last year. Seattle waived him last week, so it didn’t take him long to find another opportunity.

In 2015, Francis appeared in three games and recorded two total tackles while playing for the Dolphins and Seahawks.
