Buccaneers Sign QB Mike Kafka To Practice Squad

The Buccaneers have signed QB Mike Kafka to their practice squad on Wednesday, according to Scott Smith.

Tampa Bay placed Kafka on waivers a few days ago now that Josh McCown is healthy enough to back up Mike Glennon, so there was a chance that Kafka would end up on the taxi squad.

Kafka, 27, is a former fourth round pick of the Eagles. He played briefly for the Patriots and Jaguars before joining the Buccaneers as a free agent last year.

Kafka hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2011 when he threw for 107 yards and two interceptions over the course of four games for the Eagles.
