The Buccaneers have since announced the signing of QB Mike Kafka.
Last week, Clarence Hill reported that the Kafka worked out for the Cowboys who were expected to sign him to a contract before the weekend, but nothing ever came of Dallas’ interest.
Kafka, 26, was last with the Jaguars during training camp, but was waived before the start of the regular season. He was drafted in the fourth-round of the 2010 NFL Draft by Philadelphia, but only appeared in four games for them.
Kafka joins Mike Glennon on the Bucs roster at the quarterback position.
