The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed RB Mike James to their practice squad on Wednesday after he cleared waivers, according to Greg Auman.

  • To make room for James, the Buccaneers released LB Orie Lemon from the unit.

James, 24, is a former sixth-round pick by the Buccaneers back in 2013. He’s was the third year of his four-year, $2,263,152 rookie contract when the Bucs waived him on Tuesday.

In 2014, James appeared in 11 games and ran for 37 yards on 19 carries (1.9 YPC) to go along with one reception for minus five yards.

Lemon, 27, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in 2011. He spent close to two years with Dallas before joining the Chiefs and Cardinals in short stints.

The Buccaneers wound up signing him off of the Chiefs’ practice squad back in October of last year. He was later signed to their practice squad after they cut him a few weeks ago.

This season, Lemon has appeared in one game for the Buccaneers, but has yet to record a statistic.
