Buccaneers Sign Third-Round Pick RB Charles Sims

 

The Buccaneers announced the signing of third-round pick RB Charles Sims on Thursday.

Tampa Bay now has all but one of their 2014 draft picks under contract, with second-round selection TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins the last remaining player.

Sims’ four-year contract is worth an estimated $941,523 and includes a signing bonus of $684,092, according to OverTheCap.com.

Sims played three years at the University of Houston before transferring to West Virginia in 2013. He recorded 3,465 yards rushing on 592 carries (5.9 YPC) while contributing another 2,108 yards receiving and 51 total touchdowns.
