Buccaneers Sign WR Thomas Sperbeck & LB Shaheed Salmon, Waive LB Jeff Knox

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed LB Shaheed Salmon and WR Thomas Sperbeck to contracts on Thursday and waived LB Jeff Knox.

Sperbeck, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State back in May of last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the agreement when the Buccaneers waived him with an injury designation and he later reverted to injured reserve.

The Buccaneers cut Sperbeck from the I.R. list with an injury settlement soon after.

During his college career, Sperbeck caught 224 passes for 3,601 yards receiving and 20 touchdowns over the course of four seasons and 44 games.
