Buccaneers Sign CB Javien Elliott To PS, Release DB Mark Myers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Thursday that they’ve signed CB Javien Elliott to their practice squad and released DB Mark Myers from the unit.

The Buccaneers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. OL Cole Boozer
  2. TE Tanner Hudson
  3. S Godwin Igwebuike
  4. DL Jeremiah Ledbetter
  5. LB Eric Nzeocha (International)
  6. DE Patrick O’Connor
  7. WR Bobo Wilson
  8. WR Damoun Patterson
  9. OT Ruben Holcomb
  10. DB David Rivers
  11. CB Javien Elliott

Elliott, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State back in 2016. He played out the final year of his rookie contract and was in line to be a restricted free agent this offseason.

However, it appears as though the Bucs and Elliott were able to reach an agreement on a new deal worth less than the original-round tender. Tampa Bay promoted him to their active roster last month but waived him earlier this week.

In 2018, Elliott has appeared in six games and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
