Buccaneers Sign CB Sterling Moore To A One-Year Deal Worth Up To $1.525M

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Buccaneers and CB Sterling Moore have reached an agreement.

  • Rapoport adds that Moore receives a one-year contract worth a maximum value of $1.525 million.

Moore took his first visit to Tampa Bay last week before later meeting with the 49ers and Steelers.

Moore, 25, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2011. He played for the Patriots before joining the Cowboys in 2012.

The Cowboys, somewhat surprisingly, didn’t use a restricted tender on Moore, making him an unrestricted free agent.

In 2014, Moore appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys and recorded 46 tackles, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 13 pass defenses for the Cowboys’ defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 22 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players with a solid coverage rating.
