Buccaneers Sign K Connor Barth

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Buccaneers are re-signing K Connor Barth to a contract on Tuesday.

  • According to Rick Stroud, Barth receives a two-year contract from Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers brought in a handful of kickers for tryouts today including Randy Bullock, Kai Forbath, and Billy Cundiff. However, it appears as though Barth managed to outshine his competition for the job.

Tampa Bay elected to place K Kyle Brindza on waivers Monday after he continued to struggle this season.

Barth, 29, had two years remaining on his three-year, $1.84 million contract when the Broncos cut him loose back in August.

Denver elected to sign Barth in November of last year. He wound up appearing in five games for the Broncos and converting 15 of 16 field goals attempts include his only 50-yarder. Barth also converted all 15 extra point attempts last year.
