Buccaneers Starting QB Josh McCown In Week 10

Buccaneers QB Mike Glennon announced during an appearance on WDAE 620 in Tampa Bay that Josh McCown will get the start in Week 10’s game against the Falcons.

Head coach Lovie Smith told reporters on Monday that they were undecided regarding who would be their starter, but it appears that they will turn back to McCown in the hope of sparking some offensive production.

McCown, 35, suffered a thumb injury during Week 3’s game against the Falcons, which open the door for Glennon to take over.

The Buccaneers gave him a two-year, $10 million contract that include another $5 million in incentives back in March.

Over the course of three games, McCown has thrown for 420 yards while completing 63.2 percent of his passes for two touchdowns and four interceptions.

Conversely, Glennon has completed 57.6 percent of his passes for 1,417 yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions in a span of six games.
