Buccaneers Tender Contract To ERFA TE Cameron Brate

Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Buccaneers have tendered a contract to exclusive rights free agent TE Cameron Brate.

Last night, the Buccaneers also tendered exclusive rights deals to WR Adam Humphries, DB Jude Adjei-Barimah, LB Adarius Glanton and WR Freddie Martino. (NFLTR)

Brate, 25, signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard back in 2014. He was on and off of their active roster during first two years in the NFL and had a brief stint with the Saints before returning to the Buccaneers in September of 2015.

Brate managed to make the Buccaneers’ 53-man roster last year and put together an impressive season.

In 2016, Brate appeared in 15 games and caught 57 passes for 660 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 7 tight end out of 63 qualifying players.
